It is a fake/reprint of the only known one and has approximately 3-4 threads about it already on this forum. The owner of it knows in his heart it is no good or he would go to a real authenticator, imo.

This is a different article than the one I read a few days ago. I was unaware that he'd had the card authenticated and received multiple 7 figure offers.

I don't know much about this particular card but is it even worth close to a million bucks if it's real?

Im guessing the “authenticator” stated in this article is not one of the “main” tpg’ers. Also owner of this card stated recently that $2 million is his price yet now he seems not willing to sell for 7 figures. Whole thing is fishy and i still believe this card to be fake.

Leon,

Any chance that the threads can be merged/consolidated on this subject?

Not slabbed yet, calling BS on authenticity...

This story sounds about as legitimate as that actor story in Chicago. Real shortage of common sense these days. A dozen or so details that make no absolutely sense but people forge ahead with the story they want to believe.

Are you saying the actor wasn't attacked?

Completely off-the-topic, but yes the story was BS. The suspects arrested were well-known associates of the actor and didn't remotely fit the description of the event. Was he attacked, maybe. Was he being truthful about the event, without a doubt....no.

There are a lot of conflicting reports out there. I haven't seen anything definitive yet. Maybe they just arrested the wrong guys? It will be interesting to see if we get the true story.

Fake news???

This is why we have the term fake news. I get that most journalists don't have much hobby knowledge. Couldn't they at least put in a call to Keith Olbermann before reporting about a 7 figure card being "discovered?"

Still checking the news to see when this card gets deemed a fake. It's received so much coverage, I can't believe it hasn't been outed yet.

The other story referenced in this post has mostly unraveled, and it wasn't as simple as a submission to a TPG.

Will the "news" even bother to run a retraction? For all the "news" stories CNN and others run that are not true, it seems increasingly apparent that truth is not a primary concern for them

And by the way, if that card is authentic it looks like a PSA 8 or better.......

Another reason to doubt its authenticity.

Seems both the “attack” and card are fake.
Wait and get the facts.

It's all about the agenda, in which the truth usually gets in the way.

In Mass Communications courses this is referred to as agenda setting or gate keeping.
