In various online searches, I've located patent application cards and copyright-stamped cards for the first three releases: 1-24, 25-48, and 49-72.

I am very interested in knowing what the "date of publication" would show for a card in the 73-96 high number series, and I am also interested to know what date would be stamped on the back of the actual baseball card.

If anyone has one of these and is willing to share the info, please reply or send PM. And for anyone interested in the dates for the three lower series, here you go:

Series - Date of Publication - Copyright Stamp
1-24: May 1, June 7
25-48: May 22, June 22
49-72: July 3, Sept 27

Thanks so much for taking a look!

The Copyright date on some 1933 GOUDEY cards does not always reflect their issue date.

For example, #127 OTT has a date stamped on its back of Jan 23, 1934. You and I know
that this card was printed on the 10th sheet and issued late November 1933 - Dec 1933.

So, be cautious of the dates stamped on the back of any GOUDEY card.

Most definitely. The first nine seem to at least be in the ballpark, but that tenth one is very far off. The late copyright stamps (e.g,. Jan 23, 1934) suggest Goudey (or their attys) waited a very long time to get these to the copyright office. I wonder if where we see Dec 23 as the publication dates on all of them, someone had misread Oct 23. Maybe not, though I could see Oct 23 at least being a possibility for the true publication date.
