George H. W. Bush was an early fan of APBA baseball and played the game with his sons.

Eisenhower's son David (actually Dwight II) was also an APBA aficionado.

George H. W. and George W. both played baseball for the Bulldogs as well.

One of the Old Guard, unfortunately a dying breed. He will be the last president to serve in WWII which there will ever be. RIP President Bush.

He was a Great Man.

We are richer for having had him and poorer for having lost him.

A great man, indeed.

Although I have never voted for a Republican in my life (now 69 years old), I have nothing but admiration and respect for President Bush. My sincere hope is that the current news stories recounting his life will cause all voters to appreciate that good character, more so than policies, is critical to effective leadership and a successful presidency.

My friend took this picture of Air Force One as it left Ellington with Bush's casket

Could someone please post the picture of his service dog, Sully, sleeping next to H.W.'s flag-drapped coffin?

'MISSION ACCOMPLISHED'

Definitely the most moving picture I've seen this year.

That's an amazing photograph. You have to think Sully knows exactly what's going on.
