Ever closer to completing the E94 master set. A little dinged but a welcome addition. Now that I am down to the last handful, any one I find and buy are welcome. Still chasing the blue and dark green Crawfords, violet Lajoie, red Lajoie, dark green Cobb and dark green Wagner. The last two I don't want to pay a fortune for so lower grades :-)
I don't believe I have ever seen a blue Crawford for sale, anyone have one they might part with?

A few years ago when I first started my Nadja set a board member had a Bemis for sale but I thought the price was a little high. By the time I convinced myself to get it, it had already been sold and I've been looking for one since. Well fast forward to this year and 2 showed up in separate auctions about a week apart. Ultimately I ended up winning both. Then this one showed up in Brockelman's auction and I just couldn't help myself. So I now have 3 of the 5 graded copies with the other two tucked away in partial sets.

Was very pleased to pick up another Lenox! From my local card shop of all places. I have lived here for 8 years and only been in the shop once. I walked in and asked if they had any t206. They didn’t and I left. That was several years ago.

A few weeks back I got the idea to take my youngest son (6 this week) to get his first baseball cards. We each picked out a hobby box. I don’t buy modern cards but it was fun so we continued to do so. Put together my son’s first baseball card set in a binder. After getting to know the owner and letting him know I collect t206 he showed me the one and only t206 he had.

Didn’t really need the card but couldn’t pass it up

So neat to see everyone so fired up here. Some of those pick ups are divine. It was a slow month here but there was a small addition. Couldn't resist plucking a couple things from the estate of George Scott. Here are images of his lifetime pass and the first pro contract as an 18-year old.

It was a long and rocky night with REA but I managed to grab 2 E97 B&Ws I needed and a blue background E98 Young for my master set of E98s.
I did use ceiling bids so I wasn't as affected as some on here, but I had one E97 B&W (Kroh) slip by me because of the foul ups.

back is cleaner than the front unfortunately but still pretty nice for a Poor and still thrilled to own this non-regional RC of 42

Kin. This is a great card, congrats. Yes, expensive cards are often posted, but that doesn’t make anyone else’s pick ups less worthy. If you are excited and proud about a pick up - 100% post it. Random bunch of cards I've got lately. I really like how the new SGC label looks on black and white cards. And the US Caramels look great in PSA holders. Really having fun with some non-T206 pre-war lately.

The Mollwitz card is a new favorite. I can't believe that felt like a good way to catch a baseball at any point in the evolution of the game.
