Hi Everyone!

Just a quick note to remind you that Love of the Game's Summer auction closes tonight. Extended bidding begins at 9 Eastern, with Double Overtime beginning at 2AM.

Some outstanding items are still available at relative bargains, beginning right here with this 1933 Goudey set (239/240) (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1933_Goudey_Complete_Set__239_-LOT15787.aspx). Other great items include:

Lot #4: The earliest known in-game photo of Babe Ruth (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/Incredible_July_16__1914_Babe_Ruth_at_Fenway_Park_-LOT16078.aspx), from his second outing on the mound, July 16, 1914. When this photo was taken, Ruth had less than 10 innings of major league experience!

Lot #6: T206 Sherry Magie error, SGC VG/EX 4 (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1909_11_T206_Sherry_Magie__Magie_Error____SGC_VG_E-LOT16648.aspx) - one of the first cards reholdered by SGC at the National, just a tad under the reserve as of this morning.

Lot #656: 1928 Star Player Candy Babe Ruth (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1928_Star_Player_Candy_Babe_Ruth__HOF____PSA_A-LOT16415.aspx). I don't know that there are many cards in this auction that are more rare than the large group of 1928 Star Player Candy cards we have (with lots of HOFers). The Ruth is the key card to the set.

Lot #400: 1907 Bangor Baseball Team Postcard w/Louis Sockalexis (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1907_Bangor_Baseball_Team_Postcard_w_Louis_Sockale-LOT15776.aspx)

Lot #659: 1929 Certified's Ice Cream Chicago Cubs Pins Complete Set (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/Rare_and_Spectacular_1929_Certified_s_Ice_Cream_Ch-LOT16563.aspx) - Unbelievably rare, only two complete sets have come up for auction since 1991.

Lot #178: Rare 1920s Babe Ruth AJ Reach Baseball Glove tag (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/Rare___Desirable_1920s_A_J__Reach_Babe_Ruth_Glove_-LOT16568.aspx) - one of the most rare of all baseball glove tags, certainly more rare than most Babe Ruth cards and in a lot of ways, cooler.

As always, the auction has a large assortment of postcards and tough prewar baseball cards, with a nice grouping of T206 print scraps, miscuts and errors. There are a number of nice Broadleaf T205s as well.

And of course there's a large selection of autographs, memorabilia, and this time, the largest selection of vintage tickets and stubs that we've ever offered, including the Yankees' first World Series win (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1923_World_Series_Game_6_Polo_Grounds_Deciding_Gam-LOT16242.aspx).

Please have a look if you're so inclined, and good luck to all the bidders and consignors. http://loveofthegameauctions.com/catalog.aspx

Thanks!
