I wanted to get a ticket stub graded with PSA. On their website, they list Express ($50), Regular ($25), and Economy ($20) as all being a “45-day return.”

Does anybody have any experience with this? Will one truly be faster than the others? Does PSA give preferential treatment to the more expensive service?

Thanks for the input!
Scott

They are differentiated by ticket value.

Do they take better care of things that they think are more expensive? I don’t know how much my ticket is worth so should I just err on the side of Express over Economy?

What is the ticket? I can help with value.

It’s a concert ticket, not a sporting event.

I just wanted to get a sense of whether spending slightly more on a PSA grading service might yield a better result. I’m not talking about $20 vs. $900, but rather $20 vs. $50, since both price levels are listed as a 45-business day turnaround...

Go economy. $20 service is just as good as the higher services. You would use the higher services if you place a higher value on the ticket that you would like to be reimbursed for.

I just tried to round up tickets for a group sub, and had to cancel it, because I am the only one submitting tickets. These are all $250-$300 tickets and I am using the economy service.

Even if using their “Express” service?

I never use the express service. No point. Unless you pay the extra big money it all gets graded the same. The only urgency you really have is if you are trying to flip something or worried about if it is legit. And most of the time if something is legit or not people on here can assist.

I do have a recent experience. They really did complete grading within the time period ..... now here's the catch...... from the time they place it in the system which can be 20 days from the time they receive it. Even if you mark the box on the outside.

One thing I found interesting, don't remember checking that I wanted the stubs graded but they came back graded. How high could a used ticket stub come back graded and why do I care, oh well.

Its just like baseball cards. they will give the ticket a number grade unless you specify you just want "authentic" on the tag.

What a scam. Wish I would have thought of it. :p

Thanks for everybody’s input. I just sent the ticket stub out in today’s mail and chose “Economy” pricing. Hopefully I’ll get it back before I start collecting Social Security.....
