Did anyone see this auction on ebay for a '64 Giants Dick Farrell (https://www.ebay.com/itm/DICK-FARRELL-AUTOGRAPHED-1964-Topps-Giant-3-x-5-CARD-w-CoA/173326077155?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649) signed copy? I had a snipe in but was way under the final hammer.

Besides Clemente, Ferrell is probably the toughest of the set to find signed. This guy had a couple of signed cards from the set, all in ballpoint, and they looked like fairly early autos. This one though was clearly the only one of any significance.

I've been working this set signed with my son for a couple of years now and we are at 49 of 60 and its pretty steep the rest of the way.

That Farrell went much cheaper than I thought it would, and compared to the last time I saw a Clemente up for auction (2015 and it went for 11K) it was real cheap. Once collectors of the 64 set realize they're not going to complete it, you may find some of the other "fairly hard" cards being put on in to circulation again.

It will be interesting to see what the next appearance of a signed 1964 Topps Giant Clemente garners. $11k for the 2015 example seems overly high to me. But I also painfully understand that concept of supply and demand. Or wanting to finish a set at nearly any cost.

Funny you should ask, there is another one (https://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-TOPPS-GIANTS-22-DICK-FARRELL-SIGNED-AUTOGRAPH-HOUSTON-CARD-RARE-HOF-d-77/282990189801?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.S EED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908131621%26meid%3D4a2a8 a4ea9674be8b533c615778c2dd7%26pid%3D100678%26rk%3D 1%26rkt%3D3%26sd%3D123157312653%26itm%3D2829901898 01&_trksid=p2481888.c100678.m3607&_trkparms=pageci%3Af922321d-686a-11e8-96a6-74dbd1809fef%7Cparentrq%3Acdd8d26f1630ad4847041ffa fff96bfe%7Ciid%3A1) on Ebay right now. And I feel no guilt for outing the auction, though this one does look different than the earlier one.

Wow, that guy has a 64 Farrell...and a 60 Hoak...and a 63 Hubbs...all from a "long time collector". Sounds, err, great.

Maybe he has the '64 In Memoriam Hubbs card signed as well? Somebody can finally complete their set!

I was really expecting a 1960 Umbricht. I'm so disappointed.

The seller, us_caine, has been outed as a forger here before.

Jose is a forger and a thief. If people are stupid enough to bid on his garbage then they get what they deserve.
