T 206 red portrait Ty Cobb printed onto a cellophane wrapper--measures smaller than a T206--being around 2 4/8 x 1 2/8 inches. The wrapper itself measures around 1 3/4 x 2 3/4--on the other side is printed Sweet Corporal Little Cigars advertisement. Question is this a fantasy item, was cellophane even available during those times --opinion's --thanks in advance.

Gotta love the Flags of All Nations back so its a hybrid ... sports and non sports....reminds me of a girl I used to know, cute but fake .... and those are the kinds that can really cost you!

It's no doubt a modern item. However, glassine paper-- that translucent paper commonly used to make envelopes to hold stamps-- was invented in 1905.
