Trying to get rid of all the wife/sister/secretarial signed mays. Any chance any of you think any of these are OK as they were not all done by the same person. Thanks

The Baseball Thrills Mays looks like it is wife signed.

Should I just rip them all up or is there a chance any are real?

I would hold on to them. Occasionally you will see them graded.

How did you get so many bad Mays?

That is a good question. Bought collections of folks who did TTM. have a lot of good ones too including some vintage signatures. You'll see when you visit:)

Is this a Mays wife signed? It has a Beckett COA.

Am I misunderstanding you? I'm reading this as "They may not be good, but you can probably get them by some authenticators." Please tell me I'm wrong!!

I don't think you directed that to me. I wouldn't try to slip one by with the intention to then sell

I too received a Mays TTM in the 1980s. Always thought it real......

Why would you destroy them?

I'd probably sell them as a lot SPECIFYING they are secretarial. I just hate having fake stuff around. Sold a few fake vintage signed cards (real card, ghost signed) as such. Didn't get much but wanted them out of the house.

If you sell them, and they get into the wrong hands, they could be sold to someone that doesn't know any better as the real deal.

I throw away unauthentic autographs regularly. if they're consignments I give the consignor the option of having them returned or destroyed. It's one of the little things I can do to help out in the hobby.

anyone think any of those are real? otherwise I will take Scott and Steves advice and rip them up. I have one more I may post later that prob fits the same category but on a 1961 topps stamp.

That's such a waste of a Willie Mays card. You can just take a stamp that says "FORGERY" or something similar and stamp it across the back. Even better if you use invisible ink that an authentication company can see if anyone tries to send it in.

That's what the major auction houses do when they sell items like this.

No, don't kill them! The signature is part of the card's history, however dubious it is. Stamp them with a visible marking and save them as references.

Think ahead. Someone 100+ years from now will definitely find it interesting and want it for their collection. A future collector who hasn't been born yet will thank you.
