30 day returns so I pulled the trigger.
It looks good to me. But always hard to tell if trimmed.

That card has really wavy borders and is trimmed in my opinion. I have a feeling that it has also been bleached, as it is very fresh looking, but has some super light staining still evident on back.

Can’t wait to see this card featured in the April candy man auction
Bad news I'm afraid. The seller bought a nice authentic card and cracked it out, hoping to get someone to pay more for it thinking it might get a number. Here it is graded - it sold 9/24/2017 on eBay for $282.

People are scum.
Happy to help. I bet you can send the seller a message and ask him to cancel the sale without even sending it as he has 30 day returns - can save the shipping at least. You might also start a thread about him too...
Thank you very much!!!
I say have 100 people email him and let him know. Quick question - do you know for sure that he was the person that bought the card last year for $282? What if he bought it for $400 and is trying to flip it?
That is a valid point Fred, I have no idea who bought it for $282 in September, so it could well have changed hands in the interim.

Seller cancelled the order 👌. Thank you again for the help! I’ll hold off on starting a thread about him though, since I can’t be certain that he purchased the card in its altered holder.

A lot of scammers on Ebay. And that's all I have to say about that.

It was sort of hard for me to tell because I know how cards, especially really thin ones, can be wavy. Once I could have sworn a T202 was trimmed but it wasn't. Great outing of this probable scam!!

I was bored for a few minutes, so I looked into this. VCP shows the original $282 sale was by "arjones100". I checked feedback for arjones100, and he had feedback from the buyer of the Maranville altered card last year in the $282 sale. The feedback came from an eBay ID with feedback of 1078.
The seller of the raw Maranville card for $600 is "njlionsfan", who just so happens to have a feedback score of 1078.
No further questions, your honor....
Nice detective work - I figured that was probably the case but it's best to be sure if someone plans to out the ass hole.

I guess you can’t give him a neg since the sale was canceled, but he certainly deserves one.
