If every baseball card in the world went up for auction this month and you had $1,000 to spend -- and not a penny more -- what would you buy first? I can think of a couple of cards I'd rather have, but not for less than $1,000, so my first choice would be this guy with a Lou Gertenrich back.

Anything featuring Ty Cobb on it, like a Magazine, newspaper, or a supplement.

Glenn, I want that card too, as I'm collecting the set, but $1k is well out of my range so you'd likely win it for a lot less :)

Low grade, but still presentable T206 Cobb Red.

Easy to find card, but has eluded me for a while now.

A decent Aaron rookie.

W572 Barbare, Duncan and Rapp - if for no other reason than to prove they exist.

And the good news is ... I'd still have a lot of money left over for a decent card!

Either a very low grade Sport Kings Ruth or whatever T206 Tolstois I could find for my Providence set.

Can you get one for $1k? I just paid close to $2k for a PSA 5 that I'd consider barely passable.

A low grade centered T205 Cobb.
I’m actually tired of seeing the T206 Cobb Portraits.
Yeah I don’t have one I’m just jealous ;)
But I see them every where. T205’s not so much
