Just noticed PSA publicized that they certified their 30 millionth collectible on March 22. So does that mean since their cert ticker is now up to 30,039,188 as of today March 27th are they averaging 7837 items per day if you count Saturday?

Or if they are closed Saturday is it 9797 items per day for 4 days?

Now if that's the case should there really be a backlog of orders?

I guess its also possible that's just the day the PR department released it but makes you think about the sheer numbers of stuff being graded...

Keep in mind I'm sure that means autographs too, which has its own department, no? And did they actually start out at 1?

No, they've bounced around with cert numbers over the year. My submission that just popped was numbered right around 28,900,000. But there are ones starting with 30M, 40M, 50M, 70M, 90M already. So once they get to 29,999,999, they'll have to start skip-numbering in order to not duplicate certs.
