This is just a rather meaningless visual experiment, but here goes...

If you're looking for a card and it happens to be off center left to right (yes, even those of you who say, "I don't buy o/c cards!!"), visually speaking and assuming they are in the exact same condition otherwise, which of these cards do you prefer? The one with more space on the left or the one with more space on the right??

In other words, do either of them instantly strike you as being 'better' than the other??

I voted neither strikes me as better. I wouldn't care to own a card that's O/C like that, either way.

That being said, if I did buy O/C, I'd much prefer it be top or bottom than left or right.

Neither strike me as better than the other. I personally don't mind off center cards and buy them for my PC all the time. If I have a choice between 2 cards that are OC I usually pick the one that is off top to bottom.

I am glad you started this thread as I have often pondered just such scenarios. Glad to know I am not the only one. The first card would be my personal pick even though they appear to be about the same.

I agree, I like the card on the left. Not sure why!

I voted neither but, on horizontal images I like less white on the bottom

I voted neither strikes me as better. I'm a centering freak, but I would not consider either of those O/C. They both look like 60/40 to me, maybe 65/35 at worst. I am looking at them from my phone, so maybe my opinion would change looking at them from my monitor. My.opinion is a card has to be 75/25 or worse before I consider it O/C.

On the computer they are more obviously o/c (but not really too terrible). It's strange, though, because some of us inherently see one version as being much better visually...but the results of the poll don't seem to tell us much of anything except that the vast majority of people don't have a preference between the two.
