I like the medium. In my opinion it's one of the nicest images of Mantle out there.

Thank you for the help guys. I now have the item in hand - better scans below for those who are interested in viewing. The only autographs were of Mantle and Ford...

The extreme slant and second 'M' gave me some concerns, but seeing the entire piece now, it's probably one of those awkward position ballgame autographs. This was one of those pieces that looked just odd enough that I called someone and discussed it (I'm always trying to learn more about early Mantles). We were in agreement that it was good and he knows a lot more about Mantles than I do.

Also, Whitey looks good. Nice pick-up.
