I'm a bit perplexed by PSA throwing an MC qualifier on T206s when the very bottom of the player name might be on the edge of the border. Yet, they don't seem to have a problem if the top of the player picture is nearly touching the edge. A well-centered example has very little room for error on that bottom edge but significantly more run-out at the top. Additionally, the placement of the nameplate doesn't seem to be consistent from one T206 to the next.

Do you think the name plate should be considered part of the image? Is the MC qualifier supposed to be a function of the degree from off-center, or simply just how it impacts a specific card's design?

I don't know about the parameters used to add the MC qualifier, but I do consider the caption part of the overall design of the card and therefore part of the miscut designation.

FWIW I consider the caption as part of the image too. If it is severely miscut then I think the MC could be deserved.

I agree that the caption is part of the image......that being said.....
