The card actually sold twice 21 minutes apart:

Probably suffered from ebay's double listing bug. He will have to explain to some poor guy that his rat eaten card was won by another bidder.

Actually, it was the same guy.

At least the seller was up front and honest that the card has "some discoloration." I would definitely be upset if I was the buyer and noticed some discoloration when the card arrived that was not otherwise noted.

It's so discolored, it almost looks like part of the card is missing.

He'll just use the second one for parts.

Maybe the card was purchased so fast that the seller didn’t think it had even listed so he relisted it and the buyer bought it again and then got refunded his money for the second buy. You guys are quite comical. Lol

Not likely. We prefer a good conspiracy theory vs. some logical explanation.

Interestingly, the lot listing differs for the two lots. One says 104 year old 1914 CJ and the other says 103 year old 1915 CJ.

It's obviously not a '15 (which was listed and ended first). Perhaps he listed it as a 1915, then learned it was a 1914 and relisted it after thinking he took down the prior listing.

And Brian, I’d PM you and tell you exactly what happened but you felt the need to block me. Oh well.

I like the explanation of the 2nd one being used for parts :)...
