New Hall of Fame member.

Trammell won a World Series championship in 1984 over his hometown San Diego Padres and an American League East division championship in 1987. Although his arm was not overpowering, he had a quick release and made accurate throws, ultimately winning four Gold Glove awards. Trammell's defense perfectly complemented his double-play partner, Lou Whitaker. The two formed the longest continuous double-play combination in major league history, playing 19 seasons together. At the plate, Trammell was one of the best-hitting shortstops of his era and won three Silver Slugger awards.

I think his best card is 1978 Topps Burger King rookie. Gets it all to himself. I don't have one but here's a pic.

My favorite Tram cards are probably the 83 Topps and 86 Fleer with him and Ripken. There are a few others in the running as well though.

And I still have this picture of Mr. Trammell and myself when I was a kid. This was probably in 88 or 89.

Hands down, this one:

How many true rookie cards have two Hall of Famers? Off the top of my head, the one that jumps out is the Magic Johnson/Larry Bird card they shared with Dr. J. Is that their true rookie though? I don't collect basketball cards, so I'm not 100% sure.

But a legit Molly-Trammell card with no black smudging....ah, yes please!!!
