It is amazing to me how many of these cards have just started popping up, a bunch of them. All are in new SGC holders, and all have minor issues that are distracting for the grade given. These are major vintage rookies priced between $300k and $1.7 Million. I'm not going to name any Sellers, just look online, past, present......Very suspicious....Please look at a recent 1967 Seaver rookie, just listed...Look at the back of this card, really?

So I have been looking for an Ernie Banks rookie passively and an SGC 88 caught my attention but it's "only" priced in the $5,300 range. You think that would raise your suspicion?

Thank you. I am not an expert so I just try to make sure I dont fall into any traps. You all collectively are good at spotting stuff. Nothing gets by you.

Do you have a link? The only thing I see is a Nolan Ryan that has been on eBay a long time.

I see a Seaver on there. Have no idea if it's a new listing or not. It has some staining on the back that certainly shouldn't qualify it as a 98. The back bottom border the left looks higher than the right. That's getting real picky but I assume that's what should happen with a 98.

Ive always thought SGC was more lenient on centering. My recent sub did not achieve higher grades...graders said due to centering.

And it is a different seller. I am trying to figure out what the OP is referring to.

+1, this card is a ridiculous for a gem mint grade, listed at almost $400,000. Here's what I'm talking about, this card in a PSA 9 is a $9000-12,000 card...See where I'm going??
