new at collecting vintage signed check, but always love the big train. any red signs to look for in term of reprinted checks (is there such a thing?) or live ink etc when it comes to the banking stamps or cancellations?

would appreciate a quick crash course...interested in the below, thanks.

It is very difficult to reproduce the perforations

Never heard of a replica on the market, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been tried or won't be. If there's money in it, somebody will try to fake anything. In the case of a check it would be a photocopy, and the paper stock should give that away. Just buy from a reputable source. That one certainly looks good to me. Johnson checks seem to have become quite affordable again after going through the roof about ten years ago and coming down in price ever since.
