It sounds like former MLB pitcher Roy Halladay has just passed away....one of the greats, taken way too soon.

There's no official report yet that he was even on the plane. I'm praying he wasn't though.

As a Jays fan and a former SkyDome/Rogers Centre employee during Roy’s career in Toronto it is a sad day. Chatted with him many, many times. Class act. Tough day for family, friends and fans.

Always gave the Red Sox a good game to watch - prayers to his family

Really a terrible day for baseball fans with Roy Halladay's passing at only 40 years old. :(
His 16 year career was certainly spectacular at times. In 2010 he hurled both a perfect game on May 29th against the Florida Marlins and a no-hitter in the NLCS, no less, against the Reds

Here's a toast to one of the best pitchers of his era. RIP Doc... ;)

Got to meet him when he played for the Phillies

A couple Halladay Items I have. DOC was no friend to the Yankees. And yet I was one of many who wanted to see a Phil's Yankees repeat in 2010 to see how it worked out. Condolances to all who mourn his passing
