I would have guessed the #700 Frank R. would have fewer graded psa 8 than the #230 Brooks R.
But Frank has 374 to Brooks 281. Any idea why? Is the Brooks a tougher card or are more people grading the Frank?

Most likely scenario is that since Frank Robinson is a high number, more people grade that card of his. Getting higher grades on the high numbers always pays off financially, so they are mainly doing it for resale. SMR on an 8 for Brooks is $32, while Frank is $55. However, the Brooks AS card #455 is "worth" more than either of them, $60 in 8 and $750 in 9. So that one must either be a Short Print or have common condition issues (off-centered, snow, miscut, fisheyes).

Ok that makes sense. I guess being a high number card 700 didn't lend itself to many production issues which I would have guessed as well.
