if you were putting this card up for sale on Ebay, how would you describe it? I'd love to see a few quick answers from different folks, but I definitely want to know how to describe the printing (white noise/snow) on the front. It actually looks worse on the scan than in hand, but you can see it in hand.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
Chris

I'm not sure what the hell you are all going smartass on me for? I clearly posted those pics AFTER your comment because I initially forgot. I have no idea why you couldn't see them with your magic xray glasses!

Sorry sometimes I can be such a LaMont!

Just claim it's Joe Jackson or Ty Cobb and it'll sell. :D

Surface wear, print marks, off center. See scans for condition.

I am not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but this is a 50 cent card. Unless you are selling several of this type of card as a lot, you will be wasting your time trying to sell it on eBay.

I doubt he's selling this particular card. Probably just wants to know how to describe cards.

My advice: don't. Post the scan. Make sure it's a good clean scan, front and back. And that's it.

I get that. I actually am listing it along with about 350 other cards all from the 50's decade. They range from '50 Bowman to '59 Topps. Many commons, some stars such as '54 Topps Williams #1, '54 Topps Ashburn and Monte Irvin, '54 Bowman Kell, '55 Bowman Berra, '55 Kaline, '57 Snyder, '58 Koufax, '59 Banks to name a few. Think of it as a 1950's Set Break. We'll see how it does.

I know I will get crushed for this as being stupid and giving too much info, but again, I am in test mode here. I may cost myself some sales, but we shall see. I welcome comments and opinions, even if they are ones I don't want to hear.

I was going to attach a couple of examples but I can't figure out how to save as a PDF with a small enough file size.

Let's try it this way. Here is a link to 3 card files to be used as the item description, '55 Kaline, '58 Koufax and for the DeMaestri card shown here. Sharing should be enabled for anyone using that link.

With a quality front and back scan not much needs to be said.
