Came across this really cool websitre from Brian May from the legendary rock band Queen. All about his love of steroscopes. I've seen a few cool old baseball ones of eBay and have never pulled the trigger. May read up on them.

Stereoviews (stereoscopes) are neat items. In the past several years their value has risen quite a bit.

Probably the most valuable baseball stereo "pair" is discussed here on pages 8 and 9:

I came across one showing 2 Cub players in a Chicago hotel room many years ago while living in Denver. It was before I really knew anything (still only know a little bit) about cards and passed up paying $35 for it. I have spent the last 25 years looking for it again to no avail.

Kind of wish I had got into the streoviews back in the day when they were cheap. I felt very lucky to get a second chance at this one.

A newly added one. School games back in the day. The guy behind the batter might get hit in the head in just a second.

I've never seen Ring Around The Rosy at third base before employed as a defensive shift.

Brian has written 5 books on 3-D/Stereoscopes:

'A Village Lost and Found'
'Crinoline, Fashion's Most Magnificent Disaster'
'Diableries, Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell'
'Mission Moon' - on the 1969 moon landing
'Queen in 3-D'

He also co-wrote a book called 'Bang, a Complete History of the Universe' which falls in line with his PHD in astrophysics. One of the few rock musicians that I have not met that I would enjoy talking to, not just about music, but also physics.

Obviously not baseball but I picked this up not too long ago. Any chess fans? c.1859 Paul Morphy. Maybe my favorite current piece.

There is an antique store in my hometown that has quite a few of these. Mostly scenes of buildings, or the type of artwork/photos you'd see on postcards. I had already looked through them last year and nothing sports or war related. Maybe I will look at them again and see what the prices are. If they are cheap enough (I think that there are some for $1-2 or maybe $5) I will pick up some of them.
