I guess what this Ebayer did was technically legal but was it ethical?

I sold a 1959 Topps Bob Gibson PSA 8 on a BIN August 2 2017. Clear scans of both front and back and in the description said it was a blazer 8, one of the nicer 8's out there which it is. I did not say it would bump, that it was under graded, or oversell it. I did have a heavy price on it, due to the fact that it is top end for the grade. The scans clearly show what you were buying.

Fast forward to August 15 2017 when Vancouver Card Company initiated a return of the graded card 12 days after they received the card. They stated the return reason was "bottom right corner soft" I had no returns accepted on graded cards in my description but knowing how Ebay sides with the buyers, I did the return without hassle.

I believe they bought the card with no intention of keeping the card unless they did a quick turn to PSA to see if it would bump, when it didn't they returned it. If they had an issue with the quality of the graded card why did they not contact me immediately?

Has anyone else had this issue with this Ebayer?

problem is it's all conjecture on your part. I understand where you're coming from, but unless ebay stands behind graded cards unilaterally I'd say just chalk it up, and block them if you really feel strongly. Maybe include a link or a picture of the card for us?

Yep. Free shot at a bump, with the extended return policy now in place. Lame.

Who the f&@k spends $2600 on a psa graded 1967 picture of a bottle of bleach? I get embarrassed sometimes saying I collect baseball cards. :D

I once had a guy buy a few high end cards from me right before a major card show. After the show was over, he returned them to me. I heard from someone who attended the show that he was trying to flip those cards for a quick profit and when he couldn't he just sent them back to me.

So as others have said, it's all speculation in your case. Just saying, generally speaking, there's an alternate game a buyer can potentially play.
