Hi Gang

Has anyone ever seen a completed bidder list where the second high bid is not the second one listed?

I expect this happened because both the second and third bids arrived at the same time, but whenever I saw this before the higher bid was always listed first.

I won this item. When I looked at the bidder list I wondered why I did not win it for the next bid over $555 then I looked closer and saw the third bid was higher.

Strange

If two people bid the same amount, the first bid has priority. Also, you can only retract your bid under certain circumstances. Learn more.

I've seen that happen twice in the past week on auctions I was watching/bid on.

I figure it's just a glitch, but who knows.

I have also noticed it a few times over the past week. I won an auction on Tuesday for an Old Tom Morris Cope's Golfers card, and it happened.

The snipes came in multiple phases based on differing lag times. You can vary a snipe time. I use 7 second but it can be less or more. The higher underbid came in at $510 with a limit much higher. Then the next bid came in and moved that snipe up. Then the final bid came in and kicked it up. The system registered the snipe earlier and didn't correct the placement to show final sequence.
