Is anyone aware of any affordable options to acquire the 1952 Bowman Large Short Prints? I am 6 cards away from completing the set and all of the cards that I need are tough to get, at reasonable prices, or to find at all.

Need: 36 Hancock, 63 Conerly, 72 Schweder, 108 Johnson, 135 Ronzani and 144 Lansford

Nope. :)

Larry has done about as good as you can do at picking these up cheap. They are just really, really difficult to find in any condition and the price reflects it.

I have a few of the SP's, but none of the #'s on your list. These are tough. There is a #36 on COMC but they are asking $75.

I will keep an eye out for them at the local card shows.

I just acquired a Miller #27 for $48 with shipping, via eBay, and I was very happy with that price. I am hoping to find the others with decent eye appeal and a corner crease or someone's initials on the back would be fine, as it would bring the price down.

I just printed a checklist that shows the SP's. I have all of my dads old football cards and will look through them when I get a chance.

I have documented my purchases in the "New FB Acqusitions" thread. I am just one card away from my set!
