Does anyone know why this card was labeled unknown by PSA? It looks like a normal Piedmont back to me.

That is a clerical or labeling error. My guess is that the person who inputs the advertising back onto the flip forgot to change the field from "unknown" to "piedmont" on the program they use. It must've accidentally got shipped and the recipient never had the error fixed.

I can see how it would cause some confusion.

The labeling is correct for those people unfamiliar with the T206 set.

This is intentional. If memory serves me correct, there was a period of time when PSA listed "Unkown" on flips before they actually started calling out backs. Odd, yes, but it wasn't a clerical error.

But hey. It's a super rare Piedmont 350. Soooo.....

I'm skeptical. Wouldn't we have folks here with hundreds of these T206 "unknown" cards?
