bad to me....I've never seen the "m's' that exaggerated. (wide from left to right)

That first M in Mickey looks especially bad.

Are we seeing the same thing? Looks good to me.

It's an older signature. Not quite the same as the 80s and 90s show signed style.

That M in Mickey is HORRID.....it's easy to fool people though, because there are signers that can copy the Mick's signature down cold. I remember watching a 60 minutes piece one time and it showed the guy in the hotel room signing all the greats names. No way is that signature real. The spacing is over exagerrated

anyone else? Shelly? Other Mantle experts? need it for my collection. I felt the same about the M but I am no expert like some of you.

That Mantle is horrid....are you selling those?? Is that why you are pushing off bad signatures as good?

Why would you comment on a thread(s) when you obviously have no clue what your talking about when it comes to autographs?

Well, I agree it's good too. Maybe I'm missing something, but I would buy it if offered to me.

If you buy it, pay with credit card and send it to PSA QUICKLY....that way you can get your money back when they determine it's no good.

Who cares what PSA says? If they say it's bad they have no idea what they are talking about.

lmfao...OK buddy....if PSA says it's bad, it's really good because they don't know what they are talking about. Pay big money for it! Just ignore people saying that it's bad.

Well. So far only 2 people have said it's bad, you and Kevin. 4 people here, so far, and JSA, as it comes with a letter from them, have said it was good.
So your opinion is currently in the minority. Considering I own over 100 Mantle signatures and actually collect autographs, I think I'll take my opinion over yours in this matter.
Perhaps if I have a rare Boston Red Sox yearbook, I'll ask for your opinion.

Yes I agree that the Mantle is authentic. He cared when he signed and his placement was always right on. It's a card so it's not like he's got unlimited space to sign. Very nice example

I got a real one if you want to use it as an exemplar. I met him when I was 15.

I'll weigh in. I think it's authentic. But, it's not typical for the most common type and could definitely throw folks off who might not study his signature quite in depth. From the ones I have owned, I am going to assume this one is late 1970's to maybe early 1980's? There was a period of time that the Mick signed with a really really small "y' in his first name and this is near that time. I personally would not have any issues buying or selling this example. No slight intended to anyone who has posted their opinion, but I have gotten railed on this before. People who don't really know autographs as their main area of expertise can post on forums and really affect both buyers and sellers. Just like the BST section on Net54, the autograph section is starting to become caveat emptor unless you know which are less empty than others.

I repeat...I met him when I was 15, so I can show what a real signature looks like. Chad Durbin you can kiss my ass!!!! My apologies that the M in Mickey look off!!! I didn't sign it! That alone gives me cause for concern. But if JSA said it was good, it MUST be, eh?

I know very little about autographs so please explain to me how meeting him at 15 makes any difference. Was it a 1 time meeting or did you become personal friends and hang out all the time discussing how his autograph changed over time?

Please show your real autograph.

I got his auotgraph, obtained in person, and signed to me. Not some random signature on the internet that someone never saw signed.....I dont like the insinuations, or the way this thread is going. The autograph is good. JSA always gets it right. Case closed.

You know Bobby, you are allowed your opinion, but if you weren't so snotty and insulting to others who happen to have a different one, you would not have gotten the insinuations. You got back exactly what you gave.
As far as you getting his signature when you were 15 that does not make you an expert on his signature. As i said before, i own over 100 Mantle signatures. Every single one of those was gotten in person at shows in the 1980's. I saw and met him probably 40-50 times during the decade. Does that make me an expert? No it doesn't, but having studied how his autograph has changed over time is the thing that makes all of us say that it is good.
So, it's pretty much you and one other person who think its bad vs everyone else here plus one of the major authentication companies that all think its good. Again, you are allowed your opinion, but belittling everyone else's opinion is not needed.

I'm no expert, but why waste money w pea when some VERY knowledgable people on here say it's good? It's about knowledge and I'd trust Chris, Richard, Shelby and many others on here. The attitude hurt u with the "Uber rare" 55 yearbook, just relax a bit:p

The UBER rare yearbook sold for $600....a $400 discount from the last sale, of a yearbook in lesser shape. The problem with the yearbook though, I had numerous people on here telling me it wasn't that rare, while at the same time offering me $80. I knew damn well it was rare.
