When does the hobby run out of money? Do people feel that Heritage material will do worse than REA because buyers are out of money, or better because people were saving up for them?

Remember that there are a few hundred REA consignors with some money burning a hole in their pocket.

I don't believe that the hobby will ever run out of money.

Yes very strange, I don't think I've ever seen one looking like that. Maybe it's on the outer case?

To run out of money, I would have to have money in the first place. :D

Interesting question this raises: how much of the money in a typical auction do you suppose is new money versus either consignor offsets or proceeds from sales in other auctions?

more than you think..most of the money circles around....

i know i get scared holding some cards thinking of a potential loss if the card market crashes..then i sell the cards for what i wanted , then i have regret of not having those cards and buy again....the cycle repeats

I find it curious that no one has mentioned the Memory Lane auction, which is closing before Heritage and features a Wagner.

I'm not a particular fan of one AH vs. another. But it's interesting how some just don't receive the chatter others do. Just an observation; carry on.

I love the last line of the Jeter write up:

"Stick this card away for a few years as Derek finishes up his storied career with the Yankees."

Also, how on earth is the Wagner a 2?
