Hey,

I bought my first one too... Yesterday.. but it was the 1925 Exhibits.

Before I clicked on your post, I thought you had bought a fake 1933 goudey reprint that are inundating ebay.

You did well..

Thanks for the kind words Ben. I didn't think about people interpreting it that way till after I posted it lol. I was mainly getting at that I love this card so much and that Ruth's are so far out of my league that me wanting another one is gonna get me in trouble haha.

Awesome pickup! Great first Ruth. My first was originally a W515 that I've parted with, but my first non strip Ruth was the 1921 Exhibits although my first one was in faaarrrr worse shape! I now have a 1921 in a PSA 2.

Yours presents really nice for the grade. You can check off a few key things too, Early career card, one of earliest cards as a Yankee, rare fielding pose instead of batting, great image, etc...!

Ruth collecting can be an expensive addiction, be careful!

The Front presents very well I thought. There is remnants of paper from being attached in a scrapbook on the back is the culprit for the PR 1 grade. And with them already having blank backs I don't care. I'm happy.

Any obvious examples?

obvious examples of what? a fake/reprint? Well the price is good sign? a '33 goudey #53 ruth is fake if it's for sale at a price of $4.25 or $9.99. One can search for themselves and say to themselves, "If you think it is too good to be true, it probably is!"

I just thought thought that the Original Poster bought a fake solely on the title of the thread. That is all

Oh, ok, I thought there were ones for like $1000+ that were obvious.

I haven't looked for those but i bet that there will be some. I would not purchase one that wasn't authenticated. If a person is gonna drop a lot of money on a card, they better do their homework and buy one that is graded by a reputable grading company (SGC, PSA, BVG)

Exhibits Ruth's are the best value out there. They are beautiful cards, with low populations, and they pre-date the goudeys by several years. They have a lot of room to grow. Congrats guys.

Beautiful Ruth. That's probably where I'll start, too. An Exhibit or a Goudey.

Love the '21 Exhibit pose. There are worse things to collect than Babe Ruth cards....
