Sorry if this is off topic. I picked up a fairly valuable book at a garage sale. I'm inexperienced with books, but was able to find this Link. (https://www.jamescumminsbookseller.com/pages/books/250052/roland-palmedo/skiing-the-international-sport-by-adolf-attenhofer-count-de-baillet-latour-h-p-douglas-richard) Does anyone know how best to sell this book?

Jason, I immediately checked the inventory of the dealer I consider the Derrydale specialist. Bad news is he lists a copy, the good news is his is listed for 12,500. Rare book dealers will typically offer half or less for quality books, maybe less in this case since he has a copy, but to maximize your return, you would need to find the actual end collector. Nice book, by a famous sporting press. If interested, I could pm you his info and you could try.

In my experience the prices by James Cummings have nothing to do with reality
He currently has two books listed one for 500 and the other for 1500 that I was able to get for 25 and 50 respectively on other online services.
Look on Abe books for a better range of what a book sells for - the range will astonish you

Very familiar with the ins and outs of rare book dealers, been collecting since 1970. I will try to come up with another option for you.
