Been really concentrating on my OPC Mets team sets, was able to complete the 1965, 1966 and 1969 sets fairly easily. The 1967, 1968 and 1971 high numbers have been real tough, just wondering if anyone else collects these and what you think.

I collect Roberto Clemente cards and memorabilia. I have always loved cards that are a challenge. A few of his O Pee Chee cards are that including his 1971 (semi high#), 1965 and 1968 Pin up. The O Pee Chee's are by far more condition sensitive than Topps and real bear to try to collect in good condition.

Hi Jim! I have always thought that OPC cards were the essence of cool, ever since I bought some packs back in the 70s. Funny rough cuts, different backs, a no BS policy with the traded notices on the front of the card (and even more blunt on Hodges 72 card!) and some French at times to boot! I even enjoyed the gum! Probably 20 years ago, in the pre eBay days, I had a contact of a nice Canadian who went to shows and tried to pick up the 60s and 70s OPC Mets I needed. Since I have collecting ADD, I have not looked at them in many many years, but if I get a chance, it will be interesting to look to see if he (and I) had much luck for the years you think might be tougher.

I really like the 1971 and 1974 OPC sets. Two of my favs.
