Hey all,

I recently completed my latest American Sporting Goods Manufacturer story on the history of Stall & Dean. It took a few months to compile all the genealogy, catalog, and newspaper archive info to cobble together enough info for this story. I'm not a baseball guy, so if you have a chance, give it a read and let me know if there are any significant events or products in the company's history I may want to add or details than may need to be amended.

A brief warning, as many of you know, Stall & Dean produced a line of gloves that used a racial slur in the early 1900's. Rather than ignore it, I attempted to address its existence in the context of the word's use during the first part of the 20th century.

This is such a well done article (as well as the others mentioned) I took the liberty of copying this thread from our football forum so more eyes can see it. There is some reference to early baseball uniforms as a tie in to our cards :).
