Hi. My dad recently passed away and my family found this Willie Mays autographed baseball with an authentication certificate among his personal belongings. I'm used to seeing holograms with serial numbers. Can anyone tell me if this one is of any value? Many thanks!

I've seen quite a few Mantle signed items with that same certificate and they have been real...so I would say the ball is authentic

I was always told, " if you can read it as Willie Mays, then it not real " His signature is horrible, he has no pride in his signature or consideration for collectors who pay a lot of $$$ for a scribble.

I've never been able to tell how you get "Willie" out of the first part of the scribble.:confused::confused:

Very nice authentic, IMHO...We call this the "Fleece Mop" version. It's his best effort.
