Here, here!

There'll never be another MICK! He left us too young. Only 85 today.

I like the real photo they used to create the background for the 1956 card of "the Mick".

I`ll second that thought wow, that`s the type of card and condition you build a collection around. Very nice sir, enjoy it.

Thanks guys, it will make a nice addition to my Mantle collection. Arriving on Mantle's birthday was not planned, but does make it a little more special. The card looks great in hand.

My opinion......Mickey cards look the best with a Blue background......

Given that Ted Z. loaded up his beautiful array of Mickey, I had my son attempt loading up the cover of my book, NEVER CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, along with the table of contents, Mickey being well-represented. Sadly, in both instances, the KBs in both respective files exceeded the 19.5 KB limit which Net54baseball has in its system. Can you say :(

If anyone owns my book, and is technologically advanced enough to understand how to get around the limitations, I meekly ask, "help please".

After all, the cover portrays Mickey Mantle on a 1962 JELL-O unfolded box, a 1960 Post Cereal, and a 1954 Stahl-Meyer Franks.

Regardless, we tried. ---Brian Powell

There are lots of picture, resizers, Brian. Just pick one that is compatible with your system or try your own photo edit/resize option, depending what you have for a system?

Dale, thank you, my friend. I shall pass these ideas on to my resident tech help---son Sam. He's out with family at the moment. Reading between my lines, if you discerned I'm a full-blooded dinosaur, you perceived correctly. Again, can you say :(?

So, I shall say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICK, with the words of the first three chapter titles and their respective subheads of my recently-released E-book on a CD, NEVER CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN. The first three chapters were all devoted to Mickey.

Chapter 1 "There's Always Room For JELL-O", But Their Box Card Was A Decidedly Tight Fit (!962 JELL-O unfolded Apple flavor box with Mickey Mantle)

Chapter 2 The Majestic Giant Sequoia Mantle (1960 Post Cereal)

Chapter 3 A Mysterious and Mesmerizing Mantle Prize (1954 Stahl-Meyer Franks)

The book of course is not all about Mr. Mantle, but the cover photo has each of the above three items, and makes for a most dramatic, and delectable array of Number 7.

Gentlemen, PM me if you are interested in buying my book. A few of the other guys on here already have.

All the best, Brian Powell
