Hey everybody, I have a confusing one that I can't seem to find information on anywhere online. I bought it at an auction based upon the description, "Mickey Mantle signed artist proof". It is clearly a picture of the 1952 famous Mickey Mantle Topps card, then Mickey Mantle signed it sometime later down the bat in blue permanent marker. It also says AP 7/7 but I can't seem to find additional information anywhere. Based upon the all caps TOPPS logo, without the lower case T, I know it is pre-1981. Also, Topps went by T.G.C. until it appears 1974. Also, since Mantle died in 1995, and the majority of his sigs were from the 1980s and 90s, I'm running into road blocks. Also the size of this "card" 3-3/4" X 5-1/8" within the black border and the overall size is 4"x6". The TOPPS copyright is outside of the card border. I'm debating whether or not I pull it out of the nice framing it was put in, to confirm whether or not there's anything on back. Also the material appears to either be metal or plastic about 1/16" thick. Any help would be appreciated guys. Either way it's a really cool piece I'm glad I bought it.

For whatever it's worth, I don't think the card itself, specifically the manufacturer or the year produced, has much impact at all on the value. It's a cool piece though, assuming the signature is real.

It looks like a Topps Porcelain Card, they were produced in the early 90s I believe. Maybe an Artist Proof version?
