Hello all,

I purchased the below picture, which was included in a collection of cards, and I'm curious if anyone knows what it is. Here is what I can tell you:

* It measures 12" X 15"
* The paper is the thickness of construction paper
* The collection I purchased consisted of cards from 1952 through 1963 with the bulk from '59 - '62
* The collection was purchased from the original collector who had the cards as a kid. There were a number of newspaper clippings from the 50's and 60's as well.
* No markings on it that give a date or company name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Travis

JUST TYPE IN: TY COBB FIELDING PHOTOS
Should post this in the memoribbla section, where the photo experts be more beneficial in determining the year and etc. I saw one photo, somewhat similar pose dated 1925, but again, its not the same photo and I am no photo expert.
Best I could find was this pieces: from www.tycobbmusuem.org

Thanks for the research pawpaw. And thanks for the comic relief Steve. I posted this in the memorabilia section too to see if there is any additional insight on this.

Irv, in regard to the '52's included, I can't say there was anything great. Some commons but they were in terrible shape. The highlights of the collection were multiple Mantles from '56 - '62, two Bob Gibson RC's, and a good number of Mays, Aaron, Clemente, Koufax, etc. Condition wasn't the best unfortunately, but there were some nice cards. Some were glued or taped into an album so I'm working on trying to remove the glue and tape but I'm not having a lot of success unfortunately.

I have 5 similar posters that are 11.5 x 14.5, and include Ron Santo, Lou Brock, Hank Aaron, Reggie Jackson, and Ted Kluzewski.

The Reggie shows him in an A's uniform, probably about 1974 or so.

The Aaron and Santo and Brock appear to show a picture from the mid to late 60's.

Of course Klu's career was over in 1961, he is in a Reds uniform, which he last appeared in in 1967

I got them on EBAY, and suspect due to the wide date range they were probably produced over and over for sale at some unknown venue.

Whether they are the same or similar item as yours, I'm not sure.

That's too bad! Your other cards sound really nice and I am looking forward to seeing them when you get a chance?

Congrats on a great pick up! :)
