in my 6 years of collecting the e104 series I have never seen so many new listings. Last night's PWCC offering was amazing. I think this kind of activity helps bring more attention to the series as e104 and particularly e104-3's that had been dormant in 2011-2014.

..Found the original "Geo Burke 847 Belmont Ave. Chicago" photos for Bruce Campbell and Lou Fette....the Campbell was heavily airbrushed and cropped when it was used for the 1936 Fine Pen R313 premium issued by National Chicle ; I don't recall seeing the Lou Fette used for any other purpose ; it would have made a great '33 Worch or '39 Play Ball..

Great looking Cobby, and actually, all of them!! They are the exact type many of us try to acquire. They look fantastic but aren't technically high grade. Perfecto combination.

It never ceases to amaze me the condition some of these cards are in after all these years!

Some definitely loved their cards, even way back then.

Been a busy September, FINALLY (2 years later) picked up a Matty. Now I'm only a Bresnahan, Grover Alexander and Dick Hoblitzell away from having a card to match everyone in my tobacco ad. Have Cobb, Mathewson, and Huggins.

Thanks to Bryan (Jobu) who spotted this one early on in the auction/BIN process and let me know about it. Couple of hours later, I think we may have a new board member and I've got another HoFer in the rebuilt collection. Thanks for the help, Bryan.

What a coincidence! Another of Howe's cards right after the Speaker. NJ, do you know about Ed's McCormick collection? Seems like you have a card to trade him!

Growing up and attending local card shows there was always a dealer who sat up and brought along what looked like a higher grade 1953 Topps Mantle. I remember it being displayed in one of those 1 inch screw down holders and what a beautiful card it was. I'm happy to own a copy of the card I alway remember admiring as a kid. Thank you Andy for another smooth transaction :)

I picked up this trade card at the Valley Forge show yesterday. It's a stock card that printed the advertiser's information in the blank space between the bat and catcher's mask/bats. The card measures 4 3/8" X 7 3/8" and is printed on heavier stock. It was produced in 1886 by Ketterlinus Lithographers, one of Philadelphia's premier printers/lithographers of the late 19th/early 20th century. The baseball scene on this card was a stock depiction for Ketterlinus and is identified by the number 2217 beneath the ball.

Enjoy, Mike

Jim Thome lot, including my first ever 1/1 in my collection.

1927 W560 Waite Hoyt, with a strong grade might I add for a Hand Cut card.

Looks like the first word could be "Colliery"? Which is basically a coal mine and would make sense coming from PA.

I don't have the card in-hand yet. I'll post more details if I can make out the writing when I receive the card.

It is or should be Collins-McCarthy the maker of Zeenuts...although that second word first letter looks like an H...

Great looking Gehringer. Much nicer than the number on the flip.

Thanks! It has a SMALL crease through the face area, but it's hardly noticeable, especially in a picture. It also has a small stain-type mark on the top, but again, hardly noticeable.

I have been taught to buy the card, not the grade. VERY happy with this, especially for the price.

Haven't posted since spring, pretty much no activity... this was an accidental pickup that hit two milestones:

* 100th different T207 Napoleon back
* Completes the T207 Cincinnati front/back runs. (http://imageevent.com/gspinf/t207brownbackground/t207teamsmaster/cincinnatinational)

Not much to see, just a serendipitous pickup.

Prior to any Zeenut cards it was actually the Getleson-Collins Co.

Some time prior to 1911 it had become the Collins-McCarthy Candy Co (I have a 1911 Zeenut w/ the C-McC back stamp and later was Collins-Hencke
