Just found this on Ebay.

"2005 Upper Deck Legendary Mickey Mantle Cut Auto."

It is an obvious forgery. Please note that the card has only been graded by PSA. PSA did not cert that "Mantle."

I'd love to know who at Upper Deck back in 2005 decided that the below "Mantle" cut is authentic.

I believe there were dozens of "Legendary Cuts" forgeries that were released in that 2005 Upper Deck product. I am shocked that Upper Deck hasn't made an attempt to remove these from the marketplace.

I would say why is blatantly obvious is that the seller had it "PSA'd" to make it easier to sell to a lay person who is not aware that it is a forgery.

Fortunately at that price it will never sell.

I understand the psa slab is for the card itself and not the signature, but you'd think they would decline to slab anything that contains an obvious forgery.

May I remind you that PSA has authenticated many UDA items that where forgeries. I think Richard has a whole list of them on his sight.

If you dig deep into this page you will find many UDA and other companies cards with forgeries.
