Just recovering from attending the convention. I had a blast! While there I had the opportunity to meet fellow board member/boxing aficionado, Adam Warshaw. I had a 2012-13 copy of his book "America's Great Boxing Cards"; he graced it with his John Hancock.

Had a photo-op with Lou Savarese, and had him sign my 1991 KAYO.

Had a photo-op with Mike Tyson, and had him sign my 2006 Allen & Ginter. Tyson's people would not allow any other pictures after the photo-op; tight security with an armed police officer.

Picked up a card I was looking for. A Manny Pacquiao, 1999, World Boxing card.

After Two years of aggravation, Beckett reholdered my BVG, 1966 Panini, Cassius Clay #377. It had an old label and the serial # got screwed up in their data base.

I also picked up a JSA Authenticated, Ali autograhed brochure.

Good to meet you, Herb. I see you found the Ali autograph you were after.

I hated AC but had some fun at the show, as always. Riddick Bowe was there at his own table on Friday (or Saturday; I kind of lost track) and I got him to sign a ticket from a Holyfield bout.

Also got to chat with him about his career.

Overall, I saw more boxing material at the show than in prior years, but nothing really earth-shattering. I am chasing some pretty obscure issues at this point, so I don't expect to find much on my want list. Besides the Bowe ticket, I only picked up two boxing cards, a Vendorlandus Ali from a junk box and a Felix Potin Carpentier for my type card collection. I also got this 1981 invitation to the Kronk pre-fight party before Hearns-Leonard I:

It is actually two 'gloves' joined at the top with a red cover and the invite printed inside but I couldn't get the whole thing on my scanner.

Adam, It's good that you found a few interesting items for your collection. The main thing is that you had fun.
Having patience paid off for me. The Ali brochure was exactly what I was looking for. The dealer was very fair compared to some others. I wanted to show it to you, but you're a hard guy to keep up with.:D

Wish I had known that Riddick was at the show. I would have found something to have him sign.

What are you talking about? Adam is about 6' 8". All you have to do is look up to see him....

Great stuff guys.....

At the Natty all you see is a blur :D Can't find good cards hanging around a booth.
