Red Sox president Sam Kennedy said the bobbleheads were “inaccurate” and judged to be racially insensitive.

Then during the nights game, NESN had a guest in the booth who referring to Starlin Castro said he should go back to Cuba and that he was nephews with Fidel Castro.

The lips look like something from a very offensive racist ad from 1900. Ridiculous. Not that any bobble head looks like anyone. Mets gave out a Cespedes bobble head this year that I swear was a reused Obama one. Even down to the oversized ears.

I'm guessing the one shown in the Pete Abraham tweet quoted in the second article was the prototype, which looks ok except for putting his head on a Pedroia body.

The one shown later would be the "as delivered" product, and while I don't go for everyone being offended by everything, yeah it's not acceptable.

The supplier will just have to teach the workers to follow directions and not overdo it with the paint. (Heavily edited as the original was not at all PC either, then re-thought and changed again, this is the 4th or 5th version an a couple minutes and I'm not changing it! )
