View Full Version : PSA re-holder question
Hey guys, quick question:
I have a few of the old PSA cases that are pretty scratched up and it's bothering my OCD when I line them up next to my new shiny cases.
If I send in an old holder to get re-holdered, do I get the new flip with the hologram, or do they just put my card in the new holder and use the exact same flip?
Doesn't make a huge difference, but I am curious. Thanks in advance!
I am pretty sure you get a new flip. I know a board member who sent in a bunch of T206 for reholdering to get the backs on the flips, which means he got new flips as part of the process.

New holder, new flip. If you're really lucky, they'll damage a very valuable card during the process.

I sent several cards in for re-holdering prior to the new hologram/new holder format. I received a new holder (old style) and new flip, but the cert number remained the same.
Not sure if this is the case with the new hologram/"tamper-proof" holders.

Sarcasm. ;) I am in the midst of having an issue resolved arising from them ruining a card I sent for reholder.

Yes, it's SOP to get new flips during a reholder.

Yes. New holders will come with new flips. The flips with the little hologram on the front of it.
