What an unbelievable round of 63. Lipped out a putt on 18 that would have set the all time low round of 62 for any major....Hope he wins, ironically, his last win on the tour was at the Open in 2013.....

The put on 18 was dead center with perfect speed - unbelievable

Philly being Philly, count on him to do something chancy or stupid to blow it by Sun. Being from SD, he's my favorite player on tour, but sometimes his decisions are like finger nails on a chalkboard. :(

Phil played solid not spectacular golf today. He didn't take risks, managed the course and round perfectly. How that putt veers right, well I don't know. If you get a chance, watch the replay on TGC. I hope he comes back strong tomorrow morning in the weather. I predict, if he gets it to 10 under he wins going away and I have officially moved from Tiger to Phil. Man that was hard to type.

and I have officially moved from Tiger to Phil. Man that was hard to type.

Why hard? Tiger was a great player, but personality-wise, he's a t*rd. Phil has always been the best face on golf, from skill, friendliness, approachability to handing out turkeys at Walmart at the holidays. The man is a PR dream. TW ain't even close.

You're spot on Dave. Common knowledge that TW is a world class jerk, and I'm being kind with this description.

Mickelson plays the game right and conducts himself as a pro. You won't find him throwing tantrums on the course or dragging his family through the mud.
