Varsity Collectibles is doing a hit draft style, full case (12 boxes/3 hits per box) break of 2016 Topps Tier One scheduled for 8:00pm CT on release date. (Currently June 8, 2016, subject to change by Topps)
The rules are pretty standard and are as follows:
1. We will enter all participant names in a random.org list randomizer. They will be listed initially in order of purchase. Any participant purchasing multiple spots will have a corresponding number of entries on the list.
2. We will roll 2 dice and get a number (2-12). The list of names will then be randomized that number of times.
3. The order of names on the final random will be the draft order for hits. (1st – 36th)
4. We will give participants approximately 5-10 minutes to work out any trades for draft positions prior to breaking the case.
5. The dice roll, randomizing, case and all boxes will broken live on camera and broadcast on Ustream (Account name: VarsityCollect). Video (including hit draft) will be uploaded to Ustream for later viewing as well. If you've never used Ustream, please take a moment to familiarize yourself before the draft.
6. Once all cards have been opened, we will begin the hit draft with the 1st spot from the randomized list going first, 2nd on the list picking second, and so on all the way down to the 36th spot.
7. In recent Tier One releases Topps has included an additional hit in every third box. If there are more than 36 hits, we will “snake” the draft with the 36th spot getting to pick again at 37th; the 35th spot getting to pick 38th, and so on until all hits have been selected.
8. All cards will be sleeved, top-loaded and mailed via USPS with tracking within 24 hours. At participant’s option, priority shipping with insurance available for an extra fee. Redemption codes can also be sent following the draft if the participant chooses. We will also offer a consignment option if you do not want to attempt to sell your card(s) on your own.
Cost per draft slot is $35 which includes shipping and handling. All payments need to be received prior to June 8th. Please DM us if you have interest.
