Hi Everyone:

Just a note to let you all know that the Love of the Game Spring Catalog auction is now open for bidding.

The auction closes on June 11. Printed catalogs mail on June 1.

This is a really special auction. We have a number of important cards and memorabilia, including:

• A Tris Speaker game-used bat (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1920_Tris_Speaker_Game_Used_Bat__PSA_DNA_GU_8____A-LOT9072.aspx), attributed to Game 7 of the 1920 World Series.
• Al Kaline's last bat (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/Spectacular_Al_Kaline_Game_Used_Bat__PSA_GU_10____-LOT8972.aspx), used in his final at bat in October of 1974, graded GU 10 by PSA/DNA.
• A gorgeous 1933 Goudey Nap Lajoie (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/Beautiful_1933_Goudey__106_Nap_Lajoie__HOF____PSA_-LOT9073.aspx), graded PSA 6
• A nice, rare T210 Old Mill Casey Stengel (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1910_T210_Old_Mill_Casey_Stengel__HOF____SGC_GOOD_-LOT8116.aspx), graded SGC 30
• A signed T206 Zach Wheat (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1909_11_T206_Zach_Wheat_Signed_Card___PSA_DNA_MINT-LOT8127.aspx), and a signed T205 Ed Walsh (http://loveofthegameauctions.com/1911_T205_Signed_Ed_Walsh__HOF____PSA_DNA_AUTH-LOT8128.aspx).
• What I think is probably our biggest prewar baseball card section yet, nearly 700 lots ranging from the 19th Century to 1948, with a fantastic assortment of tough type cards, cabinets, and E-cards, loaded with Wagners, Cobbs, and more.

Plus, we've got the Dennis Clotworthy Collection of Detroit Tigers memorabilia, and the beginnings of an enormous collection of postwar vintage Topps and Bowman cards we received on consignment from Texas.

I'm pretty proud of how this auction turned out, and I hope everyone enjoys it. Thanks in advance for everyone's support, both as bidders and as consignors!

Great looking auction. Funny, a few weeks ago I posted a question about breaking up a set vs. selling whole. There are a number of amazing sets here that are being sold intact. Great stuff.

Always find some good stuff in these auctions. If I'm lucky enough to win an LOTG lot, I wonder if it will arrive before my Heritage wins.
