If anyone has any interesting items from these teams, I'd love to see them whether they are for sale or not.

You can see Ruth in the background of the photo, but according to the writing on the back, the photo is from the 3rd game of the 1915 World Series.

Very Cool. Good to see Carrigan let him on the field pre-game at least!

I love that 1915 photo Gary! Ruth 's hair rules!

I have many type 1 photos from 1915 that are Red Sox/Ruth related. Here is one with him and teammates in the Undersood and Underwood archives going through original photos! (Most likely of themselves).

Great early photo of the Red Sox in Hot Springs. I am pretty sure that it dates from 1916. The absence of Joe Wood is the main giveaway as well as the inclusion of Herb Pennock who was not with Boston until June of 1915. Here is the image as it was used in the March 3, 1916 issue of the the Boston Globe.

Attached is the earliest known Babe Ruth original, type 1 photo of Ruth in a Red Sox uniform. It is spring training of 1915. Below is a link to all of my Ruth related 1915 rookie photos.

Forever Young Ben or anyone else have info on this pic? I purchased at the national and was categorized as type II. I can't find the image anywhere.

Most likely the Ruth image is from 1917, AJ. And definitely from the Polo Grounds - probably April.

Thanks Kevin - I hadn't seen the appearance of the photo in the 1916 Globe issue. I knew based on those in the photo that 1916 was a possibility, but didn't realize Pennock was in the photo. So that is very helpful. (I think I wanted it to be from 1915 but suspected it was 1916. :) )

You are welcome. Yours is the only Type 1 example that I have ever seen. Really a great photo.

I have this Hooper signed ball. I believe the ball dates to 1913-1917, though it was not signed until 1952.
