I am far from an expert, but I don't like this one.

The card appears to be graded. Looks like it might be an old GAI holder. Any details?

Bogus. The key diagnostic is the signature. On ALL authentic examples, the bottom loop of the Y in Mickey should be practically touching the inner border of the signature box. On the fakes that I've seen, like the one you presented, there is usually a sizable gap.

I don't think I've seen the answer to this question come back 'yes' before. If it's real and for sale, it should be graded.

The card is up on ebay and it appears pretty frosty to say the least - http://www.ebay.com/itm/1952-Topps-Mickey-Mantle-Card-GAI-Altered-/222112964333

I have picked up more valuable cards, raw, so it is possible there are some 52 Topps Mantle cards floating around out there raw. That said, the likelihood of them showing up for sale on eBay is very slim.
