...on cold rainy days I stay inside and take apart my pile of old dilapidated scrapbooks and photo albums and restore and clean what I can. I don't touch the nice ones...

.I like the added touch of the very neat cursive fountain pen " 'Pittsburg' Pirates ".

..Evidently the kid was not from Pittsburgh . Nice penmanship though...a confidant hand.

Aside from this one and a couple that have rough cuts (possibly handcut)...I've really not seen any other e103 oddities. All three "Williams" sets were extraordinarily clean now that I think about it - you don't see too many at all out of e107, e103 or the Oxford e253 set

Disagree. Put this post up because a member on this thread stated Croft Candy blue backs was on his want list and since I had consigned a nice Davis with such a reverse to the Mile High Auction, one of the advertisers on this board by the way, I posted a message. This card would never be found on b/s/t. Isn't one of the missions of this board to try and help each other to find those cards we covet by whatever means. Lighten up.

Sure, but you could've just PM'd that board member about that auction. And I don't think it matters that Mile High is an advertiser or not. There's a separate forum under BST for ebay and auction house items.

And, back to new pick ups:

An E104-1 Morgan, and an E104-3 Jones, they may be rough, but very tough. Thanks DJ for a great transaction on the Jones. And you can't beat $50 from a random e-bay find on the Morgan. Now I need a World's Champions and a type 2 to have a representative of each (unless there are Nadja backed type 2 or 3s?).

Agree but not the end of the world..... John (Yoda) is a great guy (hi John) so he and I will chat about it. We can't really let every one post for sale stuff on the front page or it would be anarchy. A PM in this case would have been a bit better. Also, as stated, we do have a place for ebay and other venues announcements in the BST section for them.

Gabby Hartnett, 1932 Fleer "Whiz Bang Gum"....apparently these were not known to exist until a find a few years ago...only 3 baseball cards in set, Grove, Goslin and Hartnett... only 4 Hartnetts in all and this is only one graded. No idea of ultimate value but fun...The two tiny holes in his cheeks were to hold string, for hanging card? pulling it like a kite?

Of course, mainly going to be dupes (maybe some upgrades) .....

Thanks Joe. The exhibits are great in that I can afford (barely) a higher grade Cobb. A T206, E98 or other desireable Cobb's in the same grade, I would guess, would cost 3-4 times as much as I spent. As much as I love the artwork of a t206 it is pretty cool having an actual photo print of the great Cobb.

Picked up this Chief Myers (Catching T206) that has a severe diamond cut and registration issues that create a "double vision" and a "twin bill."

I wasn't sure if I would ever see this card since there was a delay in shipping, and once it was shipped, it went from Alabama to Texas before heading here to Maine.
