I'll be watching that - but not sure if it has the eye appeal to motivate me to bid - i tried to knit it together

What do we think it will go for? I'm high bidder at the moment - but don't let that hold you back, I'm not going the distance. I have a couple of nice panoramas, including a 1924 shot of Pottsville fans and a 1927 banquet for Hinkey Haines, with Lou Gehrig in the foreground. Possibly my favorite, and least valuable, is the Akron Cab Company football team. Below each image is a link to a larger file if anyone is interested.

Wow...love that 1926 shot of the Akron Cabs!! Any chance the names of players are on the back or how to find out who's who?

No names on the back of the Akron Cabs Football team and no luck in searching newspapers for articles either. One thing on that 1925 Bears at Giants photo - you can certainly see why Tim Mara made his money at that game - so different from most photos from the 1920s where the Polo Grounds has vast sections of empty seats - like this shot of Glenn Campbell running for a TD for the Giants in a 1929 game

I didn't see in the HA description that they identified Grange. I see a figure in a coat that looks likes his raccoon coat near the 35. Is that him?

Is there another picture of him in that coat so we can verify the match?

A Google images search for "red grange raccoon coat" turns up several, but I couldn't magnify the figure at the 35 enough.....

$4063 with Bidders Premium.

Expected it would go between $3K-5K so it ended up right in the middle.

What a historic piece!

Mike - nice job honing in on the unknown figure - sure looks like Grange to me.
