Considering making about a 4 hour drive to the Strongsville, OH, show this weekend. I'm curious if anyone has any reviews of past shows. Anyone attending this year? Worth a road trip?

Thank you for your input.

Have never been there but usually a great line up of vintage dealer and cards from what I have read. Enjoy your drive

Great show. I've gone just about every year going back to '97 or so. Probably as high a percentage of vintage as any show I've attended.

I will be there on Saturday.

What do you collect and what are you looking for?

Thanks for your comment Paul. To answer your question, I have pretty basic collecting interests: T206, CJ, 33 and 34 Goudey HoFs, Cobb, Matty, WaJo, Gehrig, etc.

I've attended many of these shows - it's well worth the drive.
Lots of vintage for the size venue. It can get crowded, however. Make several trips around the tables.
Indians are out of town, but Akron (AA) is at home all weekend. Weather is forecasted to be great too.

Since Paul Fusco revived the show it has been an excellent place to find vintage. I won't be going this year because I intend to blow the budget on REA. The dealer lineup is top notch, for those of you who go, HAVE FUN and GOOD HUNTING!!

Bryan and I will be set up there to the right of the door when you first walk in from what I'm told. Very excited to do the show! We're bringing a bunch of T206s (upside-down back and other freaks, too), some HOF RCs, and a nice near complete Bowman/Topps run that's being mostly broken up. Oddballs, subsets, and more.

It's an awesome show in my opinion. Usually I'm there as a consumer, and we've always enjoyed it. SGC, Heritage, Mile High, JSA, Uncle Dick, and plenty of others will be there as well, plus some guys signing autos (former Browns, Indians, and Buckeyes.)

Saturday I'll try and wear my OBC hat and Net54 shirt!

I'm going to be there on Saturday. The wife is letting me go for the weekend...pretty psyched -- card show in the morning, Indians game in the afternoon, dinner downtown, a little poker at the Horseshoe...and good weather!

Cheers,
Steve

Good show in my opinion.

Took a few minutes and looked at the recently discovered Cracker Jack ad. What a cool piece of baseball card history!

Met board members Bryan Long & Jimi (jimivintage). Talked with Jimi for a few and ended up buying a T206 from him. Actually spoke with about 6 board members throughout the show.

I was hoping to see the Bucklers at the show, but was told they could not attend. Hope all is well and wish them the best.

Overall it looked like a good turnout with dealers having a good selection of collectibles and plenty of customers coming to the show.

Here are a few pickups from the show.

While I didn't make any big purchases at the show, I really enjoyed it today. To me, it seemed heavily weighted towards 50s and 60s, but that's okay!

Definitely a set builder's show, as dealers brought tons of inventory, and given the chance, I will return! I caught the game today, and I'll be there tomorrow a well.

Cleveland has great new restaurants and culture.

This is definitely a show that can grow, and I look forward to it in the future.

Cheers,
Steve
